INSPECTOR DENAUX

You've been invited to play the role of INSPECTOR DENAUX in Murder at the Manor. Lord Heathcliff is throwing a swanky dinner party in honour of his new bride. All the usual suspects are there - the vicar, the cook, the professor - plus a few unusual ones. But dinner will never be served because Lord Heathcliff is hit over the head with a candlestick just as he's taking his customary afternoon swim. You're invited to find out who snuffed out his candle!

Your costume suggestion

When not in disguise, you blend into the crowd with trilby hat, trench coat and moustache. A newspaper and magnifying glass give you something to hide behind if needed.

About you...

BIO
You were quickly promoted through the French police force as they wanted to get you off the streets. After tripping over some onions whilst pursuing a caricature artist outside the Centre Pompidou you were retired from active duty with full pay. No matter how many times you ask they will not let you work again so you spend vacations in England posing as a private detective to help those in need. You’ve never fired a gun nor have you ever successfully completed a case.

INTRODUCE YOURSELF AT THE START OF THE GAME BY READING THIS
Inspector Denaux, French detective, at your service. I’m not entirely sure how I became a suspect but clearly there must be a criminal genius in our midst! Lord Heathcliff invited me here to do one thing … and I have briefly forgotten what that was. Nevertheless, there is a murder to be solved and I will do the solving! Firstly someone will need to point me in the direction of the crime scene. People say it was in the pool room but I cannot find it, only a room with a giant snooker table in it.
